We needed a system that could manage multiple projects for our business units that are spread throughout the globe. Ease-of-use and high user adoption is the key to Daptiv’s success.
Honeywell Specialty Materials found themselves in a familiar and desirable situation—they were expanding rapidly. Their “home-grown” PM product was growing more and more obsolete by the day. They needed a packaged solution that could grow along with the company, provide a more mature environment for project and portfolio management, and be easily extended outside of the enterprise to a vast array of partners and customers spread around the globe.
Honeywell Specialty Materials looked at a number of products including Microsoft Project Enterprise. Though they found it to be a great product, they were concerned about its long implementation cycle and the extensive infrastructure required to run it. Honeywell needed a single, intuitive and easy-to-use platform that could be used for a wide variety of projects and project teams spread across the globe.
Daptiv was first deployed within one of the business units under Honeywell Specialty Materials, but as it became apparent that ease-of-use and user adoption was extremely high, Daptiv was rapidly deployed across all of the units within the division. Today, Daptiv is used by Honeywell Specialty Materials for many types of projects and at all stages throughout the project management lifecycle. Daptiv has proven itself to be versatile tool, powerful enough to handle the diverse requirements of Honeywell’s projects that vary in scope and size.
“Daptiv is flexible in that it can be used for many types and kinds of projects, and across all levels of management including managers, project leaders and team members at Honeywell. One of its best features is its simplicity, ease of navigation and short learning curve. This eases user adoption, as oftentimes it requires little or no training. We needed a system that could manage multiple projects for our business units that are spread throughout the globe. Ease of use and high user adoption is the key to its success,” says John Vantuno, InfoTechnology/Portfolio Management Office of IT objects, Honeywell Specialty Materials.
After considering multiple PPM solutions for their diverse global teams, Honeywell found Daptiv to be the fastest and easiest to deploy. Due to Daptiv’s ease-of-use and high user adoption, Honeywell Specialty Materials quickly expanded to over 1,500 seats.
