Changepoint Positioned as a Visionary in the Gartner 2016 for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications (IIPA) Magic Quadrant
For the Third Year in a Row, Changepoint Recognized for its barometerIT Enterprise Mapping Solution, Ability to Execute, and Completeness of Vision
SEATTLE, USA – November 23, 2016 – Changepoint, today announced that, for the third year in a row, Gartner, Inc. positioned the company in the “Visionaries” quadrant of its Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications Magic Quadrant1. Changepoint is a leading provider of project and portfolio management, enterprise architecture, and professional services management applications. Changepoint’s barometerIT solution was evaluated for the report.
“We believe our continued Visionary placement in the Magic Quadrant affirms our product strategy and market approach,” said Eric Bergman, vice president, product management at Changepoint. “With barometerIT, our customers create dynamic enterprise blueprints to answer business and technology questions, communicate a clear vision to motivate change, and make recommendations that support better business outcomes. The result–more informed, more effective decisions.”
For the 2016 Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluated eight vendors on two main criteria: ability to execute (product or service, overall viability, market responsiveness, customer experience, operations, and sales/marketing execution) and completeness of vision (innovation, business model, market understanding, and a strong strategy for product, marketing, sales, geography, and vertical/industry).
“Finding data to support technology decisions isn’t the challenge. It’s finding accurate, relevant data, and delivering valuable context that’s tricky and time-consuming,” said Paul Cramer, general manager, barometerIT at Changepoint. “Armed with a connected picture of their enterprise, EA teams play an essential role in translating IT strategy to business strategy.”
barometerIT inventories data from people-driven crowdsourcing and third-party system integration to create a real-time enterprise map and illustrate relational data using graph technology and contextual visualizations. This enables organizations to make smarter, more informed business decisions backed by real-time, authentic data about the state of their enterprise.
In 2016, Changepoint was also named a Leader in two other Magic Quadrants: the IT Project and Portfolio Management Software Applications, Worldwide and the Cloud-Based IT Project and Portfolio Management Services, Worldwide Magic Quadrants, published May 2016 by Daniel Stang, Robert A. Handler, and Teresa Jones.
